Man gets 9 years for stabbing dog

i don't get this. and i'm all for treating all
living things adherent to the golden rule, really.
but HOW THE FUCK does a person murder someone and
get a four year sentence when someone else stabs
a dog and gets nine?!

this is why it stays so hard to stave off the
bitterness. this is why if truth be told, i will
probably never really let it go.

My daughter was not, is not, never was and never
will be chopped liver. and it's crap like this that
makes me want to shout it so loud everybody in the
world will hear my voice! cause she was killed,
see, killed with absolute contempt by a person. and
that person spent 2 years and 3 months in prison, and
got out. go figure.

not the first time, not the last. please bear with
this bereft and baffled mother one more time. thank
you, and amen.

the 31st book of 2006

Kaddish by Allen ginsberg

which it has. damn eery in fact if you ask me. which you did not.

and this morning after completing my perusal of the book, which i picked up in a
bookstore in SoHo in 1982 during my only vist to NYC, and after
having determined to blog ginsberg and perhaps even
...
hm. never mind that, not right now. it is after 8 am. i must work

anyhow. i spilled my creme soda, and didn't know it - and my
origing City Lights edition of Kaddish
just went worthless, i guess.

but i recommend the book enthusiastically. i know i read it when i bought it,
but obviously i did not read it closely. and i was married then, with young
children. bushies had not hijacked the democracy of the USA. because this time
around for the first time i felt i really got ginsberg, and found much to esteem
in this book.

the mullendore murder case

just finished the 30th book of the year. and it was kinda old, written 30 or years ago. so i thought i'd do a little google and see how everyone is nowadays. Chubb Anderson was arrested in June. Not for the murder of EC, but for drug charges. Turns out he's been a fugitive from justice for the past 16 or so years, and now he's going to jail for one to five. He's old and he's sick. My personal feeling? He didn't kill EC. But i doubt i'll ever know.
